Veritix® Highlighted in Twitter Ticketing Discussion

veritix | September 29, 2011

Twitter provides a great avenue for people to discuss various topics and give input on what their stance on a particular subject is. Recently, various members of the ticketing industry held a discussion on Twitter about paperless ticketing. #Ticketchat was used as the hashtag for the conversation, allowing people to follow the comments in real-time.

Some of the concerns brought up about paperless ticketing in the chat revolved around ticketing systems and the fact that many systems restrict fans from giving their tickets to someone else. However, Venues Today’s Dave Brooks (@venues2dave) was quick to point out that Flash Seats®, the Veritix paperless ticketing platform, allows transferability.

“Well #paperlessticketing has to be transferable @veritix gets this. Until you can share tix, people won’t adopt #ticketchat” – @venues2dave

With the “Transfer” feature, fans electronically send their tickets to other people by simply entering the recipient’s email address. The recipient then creates an account and adds an electronic ID to swipe on the day of the event. It’s just that easy.

We are happy that the ticketing industry is engaging in discussions about paperless ticketing systems and raising important issues, and we are pleased that Flash Seats is recognized as a fan-friendly system.

A Veritix® Hat Trick

veritix | September 21, 2011

A hat trick is a hockey term that refers to a player scoring three or more goals in one game.  This term can also be applied to Veritix’s presence in hockey this season as it will mark the first time we are providing ticketing services to three or more hockey teams.

The Colorado Avalanche of the National Hockey League (NHL), Lake Erie Monsters and Houston Aeros of the American Hockey League (AHL), and Plymouth Whalers of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) will all be using the Veritix ticketing platform in the 2011-2012 season.  While all these clients will use Veritix for primary ticketing, the Avalanche, Monsters, and Whalers will also utilize Flash Seats® for secondary ticketing.  Flash Seats will provide a paperless entry for fans with a simple swipe of a credit card or driver’s license as well as a safe, secure electronic marketplace for fans to buy, sell, and transfer their seats online.

With the season beginning in two weeks, we have seen a great response in single game hockey ticket sales for our clients. It’s obvious that the momentum gained from the Aeros, Monsters, and Whalers’ playoff appearances last year is continuing to grow.  We wish the best of luck to the Avalanche, Monsters, Aeros, and Whalers on a successful 2011-2012 campaign.

Veritix® Caps off Successful Weekend

veritix | September 8, 2011

Veritix had a busy holiday weekend with several clients successfully managing events using our system over a four-day period. Some of these events included:

  • The Baltimore Grand Prix, which sold more than 200,000 tickets.
  • Three Phish concerts at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park, which was held over three days and included the use of Flash Seats® as the Official Secondary Marketplace.
  • Texas A&M vs. SMU at Kyle Field, where more than 70,000 fans entered.
  • The sold-out Selena Gomez show at 1ST Bank Center in Broomfield, CO.

Our ticketing solutions are gaining more and more traction in the market as fans discover how easy it is to buy, sell and transfer seats, and entertainment organizations understand the wide spectrum of services and information available through the Veritix platform.  We look forward to more busy weekends like this in our future.
