NBA Draft Recap and Flash Seats®
veritix | June 28, 2011The stars of the future were front and center last Thursday in Newark, New Jersey for the 2011 NBA Draft. As part of this exciting night, many of our clients held draft parties to celebrate the new wave of players that would join their respective teams.
The Cleveland Cavaliers, which drafted Kyrie Irving and Tristan Thompson with the #1 and #4 picks in the draft, hosted a party at Quicken Loans Arena to benefit the Children’s Tumor Foundation (CTF). All online orders featured Flash Seats® as the method of delivery. The event concluded with more than 1,600 of the 7,500 people that attended swiping in with Flash Seats. All proceeds generated from the party went towards CTF and research for Neurofibromatosis.
The Houston Rockets and Utah Jazz also joined the fun and hosted their own draft day parties. The Rockets invited fans to the House of Blues Concert Hall, with guest appearances from Clutch the Mascot, the Rockets Power Dancers - and 2010 Draft pick Patrick Patterson.
The Jazz hosted a party at Energy Solutions Arena and gave fans an opportunity to receive a special edition draft shirt, draft guide and chance to win a host of prizes including Salt Lake City Bees tickets.
It was an exciting night for all NBA teams and fans alike as we look toward a successful year in 2011-2012.
